Special projects

CSE

The FSI has developed and conducted cross-border simulation exercises (CSEs) with financial authorities in several regions. Each exercise simulates the financial stress and failure of a fictional regionally systemic banking group and provides an opportunity for participating jurisdictions to test their crisis management frameworks and arrangements for domestic and cross-border cooperation.

FinRep

The Fintech Repository (FinRep) is an online platform designed to facilitate policy development and benchmarking in the rapidly evolving fintech sector. It offers centralised access to an extensive collection of technology-related laws, regulations and policy documents issued by all 63 jurisdictions with BIS-member central banks and global standard-setting bodies. With its comprehensive library, which is regularly updated, FinRep enables users to easily explore, compare and download fintech-related documents.

ISN

The Informal Suptech Network (ISN) was established by the FSI in 2018. It is composed of suptech specialists and other relevant staff at financial authorities in different jurisdictions. Through its various activities, the ISN provides a venue for sharing of experiences and identifying good practices in introducing technological innovations in supervision.

Unidroit

The FSI supports Unidroit, an independent intergovernmental organisation working in areas of private and commercial law, in the development of a legislative guide on liquidation regimes for banks that are not systemic in failure. The guide aims to facilitate improvement and further alignment of national bank insolvency frameworks, and is expected to be finalised in 2025.
