Innovation BIS 2025 is our medium-term strategy, which aims to build a stronger BIS that embraces continuous innovation on both the analytical and business fronts. The strategy reflects how innovation and technology are reshaping the financial landscape and the way we work, to help us meet the challenges of the digital age.

In 2020, the BIS commemorates its 90th anniversary. The Bank's role has continued to evolve to the present day to respond to the chang­ing needs of its member central banks. More information on the history of the BIS from 1930 is available here.
